A long time ago there was a man named maui and he had brothers. There was a sun named te are. Te are the sun was very fast up in the Sky and so they couldn't finish their work everyday. The sun went up to fast and down to fast but the moon went so slow so it was dark all the Time. Maui made a plan. They made a plan to get the sun and slow it Down so they can work. The First Thing they did was to get some flax and him and his brothers were making ropes to slow the sun. After they made their ropes they walked and walked until they got to the cave where the sun slept. They hid behind the rocks waiting for the sun to rise. When the sun’s face arrived maui and his brothers stood up and chucked the rope on The sun and tightened it and Maui put out his fish hook from his grandma and smashed it on the sun. and smashed it again and smashed it several times. The sun said “stop it your hurting me” and The sun said “yes i promise i will slow down” and maui went back with his brothers back to the village and they worked and worked The endx
